WOW! AUGUST ALREADY?!

I can’t believe that it is almost time to go back to school! For those of you that don’t know, I am a teacher… so it will be back to work for me very soon.
No wonder this summer flew by faster than ever….the Jaycees were involved in so many events over the past couple months: Summerfest, Martini Night and all the HOF Festivities.

Now it is time to get to work on some more fundraising activities so we have money to conduct our Holiday Projects (Food Baskets and Shopping Tour). We are going to have another Bowling Night this fall. We are also working on planning a Texas Hold’Em Poker Tournament. We will participate in selling tickets for the “Westfield Works Wonders” event again.
We begin selling Entertainment Books for 2007 this fall as well. Just a promotional comment about the Entertainment Books…for those of you that don’t know, the book pays for itself if you go out to eat and use the dinner coupons at least twice! (The book costs about $30 and there are some $15 off coupons for some nice area restaurants!)

Most importantly, we need committee members and chairpersons for many of these events that I mentioned! So PLEASE let me or one of the Board members know if you would like to get involved and help out with any of these great projects. I hope to see you at a Membership Meeting in the near future!
