The primary purpose for running the Christmas Shopping Tour is to provide economically disadvantaged children with money to spend on Christmas gifts for themselves and their families.

One evening in December, each child will be given spending money and assigned a chaperone for the evening. The chaperones will be Jaycees, friends, family as well as Walsh University student-athletes.  The chaperones take the children shopping at Westfield Belden Village Mall so that the children will be able to purchase Christmas presents for themselves and their families.  The evening will also include dinner and a visit with Santa Claus. One additional goal is to gain positive publicity for the Canton Jaycees in the greater Canton Community.
