On Sunday, April 1st, 2007 the Canton Jaycees held our annual Easter Egg Hunt for the Canton Community.  Children ages three through eight were notified of the event through local agencies in Stark County.  Kids began arriving to Arboretum Park on 38th Street at 1 o'clock in the afternoon.  Once all of the kids arrived, we had bunny hop competitions, Easter Egg relay races, and an Egg Toss competition.  The Easter Egg Hunt began at 1:30.  Kids were separated into three age groups (3-4, 5-6, and ages 7-8).  Each kid was able to fill their bags full of eggs, which had candy, donated from Walmart and Acme food store, as well as tickets that were redeemed for prizes.  After all of the eggs were found, they were able to visit with the Easter Bunny, and pick their prizes.
