Holiday Baskets is held on a Saturday in December in order to provide local Canton families with nonperishable food items to help them have a better holiday season.  This project has been run with the help and support of the Salvation Army of Canton and Fisher’s Foods.  The list of families who are to be helped, is supplied by Community Christmas (a charity organization associated with the Salvation Army of Canton).  Food items are then purchased from and donated by Fisher’s Foods.  The items are assembled into “baskets” and distributed to the recommended families in attendance the day of the event.
